ASHER KOTZ
Council Member
Asher has been a member of the council since 2017. Asher works for Fairfax County Economic Development Authority, in Northern Virginia. He serves as the deputy director of the international business investment group, managing the Israel and India outreach programs. He also overseeing the engagement with the Fairfax County’s cybersecurity business community.
Asher serves on the leadership team of AFTAU alumni, Washington DC Chapter. Previously, he served on the board of George Mason Hillel, in Fairfax, VA, and was a member of the regional board of NIF, when he and his family lived in in San Francisco, CA. Asher worked for 13 years in Silicon Valley and for various US and Israeli technology companies.
Asher grow-up in Kibbutz Alonim, Israel, and served in the IDF Paratroopers Brigade. Asher has obtained an B.A degree in Political Science from Tel Aviv University and an MBA degree from San Francisco State University. Asher lives in North Bethesda, Maryland, and has two young adult sons.
