President, Amdocs America
Shimie Hortig is president of the Americas Group at Amdocs, responsible for all of the company’s North and South American communications and media customers. He has full accountability for sales, operations, delivery and customer satisfaction of this region, which contributes over $2.5 billion in revenue annually. This includes all of Amdocs’ products, delivery and integration services and intelligent operations (managed services). Shimie oversees thousands of employees within the organization. Prior to this role, Shimie was directly responsible for the company’s relationship with AT&T, Amdocs’ largest customer with revenue of over $1 billion, as well as the company’s overall entertainment and sales strategy. Previously, as president of the Broadband, Cable & Satellite division, he led Amdocs’ journey to become a chosen partner in North America for significant transformation projects and business growth. These efforts resulted in ongoing business with Comcast, Rogers, and DIRECTV, as well as new relationships with Charter, Altice and Dish Network. Other Amdocs roles included general manager of the Delivery group, general manager of Global Operations and vice president of Corporate Economics. Shimie holds an MBA from Tel Aviv University and lives in New Jersey with his family.
