REMEMBERING TOGETHER with AnneMarie Yellin
Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes
The IAC and the Consulate General of Israel to the Pacific North West invite you to commemorate the victims of the Holocaust among family and friends in a different and more intimate atmosphere. Join us as we listen to a holocaust survivor, AnneMarie Yellin, sharing her life story. Through AnneMarie’s story we will also pay tribute to the six million victims of the Holocaust and honor those survivors who are still with us.
This event will be held in English.
AnneMarie Feller ( married Yellin) was born in Chemnitz, Germany in 1928. She grew up in a middle-class family. Her father owned a lady’s garment store before the terrible events of 1938. They lived a free Jewish life up until the Night of Broken Glass- Kistallnacht. AnneMarie was miraculously saved as a little girl by being hidden in a Catholic convent in Belgium, where she lived until the end of the war before reuniting with her father. AnneMarie’s story comes to life when it is told by her. Her message is always clear, “forgive but never forget”.
