TLV Graffiti – Color, technique, art and social statements – in this course we will look at works by artists and creators of graffiti and street art from Tel Aviv-Jaffa. We will talk about the different techniques that the artists uses in their work and try them out. We will take a look at the social issues that the Graffiti in Tel Aviv express and will try to understand the Israeli mood through the artist’s work.

We will follow the artists on social media. We will talk about the uniqueness of the Israeli artists and explore inner struggles between them and the big question of the graffiti and commercializing.

During the course we will also try to think what is important for us to say through the medium of graffiti and we will try it out. Not with spray paint, but with a sharpie.
