Support Israeli Citizens by Sending Video Messages of Love

The Israel Museum, Jerusalem has always been a space of reflection, contemplation, and tolerance, where art serves as a powerful reminder of our shared experiences. Though this current crisis has tested our shared humanity, the resolve of our staff has endured, safeguarding the Museum’s treasures, while also using the healing power of art to connect with displaced families throughout the country.
Since October 7, the Museum has been committed to supporting evacuated residents through a series of impactful on and off-site programs led by the dedicated staff of the Museum’s Ruth Youth Wing, encouraging personal expression among participants of all ages.
Please stop by to send messages of love, hope, and support, and tell the world what the Museum means to you.

Tragic Awakening Documentary Film

The October 7 pogrom in Israel was the worst massacre of Jews since the days of the Holocaust, yet rather than rally to the victim’s side with empathy and compassion, the international community has, confoundingly, exploded with Jew-hatred. Tragic Awakening: A New Look at the Oldest Hatred is therefore a profound and timely documentary that delves deeply into the roots of antisemitism and provides sobering revelations about the world’s oldest hatred. Where does such unbridled hatred come from, and can it be harnessed into a force for good? Tragic Awakening answers these and so many other questions with unvarnished candor.

Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Jew? – Raphael Shore
Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Jew explores the insidious nature and evolution of antisemitism, tracing its origins from ancient times to its present-day manifestations in Nazism, radical Islam, and the anti-Zionism of political progressives. However, while the impeccably researched historical narrative provides a basis for understanding, this book is not only about antisemitism. Instead, Shore’s seminal work explains how Jew-hatred is, in fact, rooted in the very essence of what makes the Jewish faith and its people so beautiful. It is a rallying call for Jews of all walks to embrace that beauty, their rich tradition of battling injustice, persevering in the face of adversity, and always choosing life and light over darkness.

It explains the foundation of spiritual Zionism among Black people, and why that foundation will always inform Black support for Israel. It uncovers the origins of an anti-Israel ideology that targeted the Black and African communities beginning in the 1960s, and how that strategy became a mainstay in school curriculum and political policy. Finally, Zionism & the Black Church gives reasons why there is a bright future in the Africa-Israel, Black-Jewish relationship, and charts a clear path forward.

In conversations, testimonies and rare documentations from the field, volunteers of the ZAKA organization, the head of the Institute of Forensic Medicine and survivors of the Nova festival reveal for the first time the greatest national disaster in the history of the State of Israel in all its various aspects, while providing a historical commemoration for the great loss, and on the other hand – to the heroism of the people of Israel.
