On Thursday, May 14, 2026, the IAC Gala returns to New York City under the theme Strength in Unity: Where Leadership Meets Action. The evening will bring together leaders, partners, and community members at a defining moment for Israel and the Jewish people.
This year’s Gala carries particular significance as we continue to define what it means to stand proudly as pro-Israel and Jewish American in the post–October 7 reality, amid a troubling rise in antisemitism across education, public life, and leadership.
The evening will focus on resilience, principled leadership, and our shared responsibility to strengthen and safeguard our community and the next generation.
We are excited to feature remarks by General Michael Erik Kurilla, former Commander of the United States Central Command, who led the defense of Israel from Iranian and Houthi attacks and commanded Operation Midnight Hammer. He will offer rare insights on pressing current events, including the joint U.S.-Israel Operation Epic Fury / Roaring Lion and regional security cooperation.
We are proud to honor philanthropists Elena and Yakir Gabay, who exemplify the leadership and service that are at the heart of this evening. Yakir, who was appointed by President Trump to the Gaza Executive Board of the Board of Peace, together with Elena has demonstrated a deep commitment to strengthening the Jewish and Israeli communities and advancing initiatives that support Israel and its future.
We are also especially honored to welcome two distinguished guests whose leadership and expertise reflect the depth and importance of this moment.
Dr. Miriam Adelson, a visionary leader and one of the most influential voices in strengthening US Israel relations, has dedicated her life to advancing Jewish continuity, supporting Israel, and building a resilient and proud community.
Joining her is Henrike Weissberg, former Deputy Director of the Mossad, with decades of experience at the forefront of Middle Eastern affairs. Known for his deep expertise in nuclear strategy and counterterrorism, his perspective brings rare insight into the complex security challenges shaping the region today.
