A letter urging a boycott of Israeli writers, publishers, and agents has been circulating in the literary world. Within a day it had 1,000 signatures.
Within four days there were 5,000 signatures. It is being heralded as “the largest cultural boycott against Israeli institutions in history.”
Signers include best-selling authors Sally Rooney, Jhumpa Lahiri, Ha Jin, and others.
