Join the IAC (Israeli-American Council), for a meaningful, family-friendly Yom HaShoah event as we honor Holocaust Remembrance Day with a commemoration
ceremony at the Holocaust Memorial.
This event is an opportunity for people of all ages to reflect, remember, and ensure that the stories of the past continue to be told for generations to come.
Family-friendly. All are welcome, young and old.
Schedule:
• 11:30 AM – Arrival at the New England Holocaust Memorial (NEHM) and Rocks of Remembrance for families and kids
• 12:00 PM – Yom HaShoah Ceremony at NEHM
• 12:30 PM – Unity Kaddish with Greater Boston community, CJP & JCRC
• 12:45 PM – Ceremony ends and disperse
Need to Know:
• Attire: Please wear a black shirt so we can stand together in unity as we honor Yom HaShoah.
• Meeting Spot: The New England Holocaust Memorial (98 Union St, Boston, MA 02129)
Parking Information: Please note that street parking meters in Boston are free on Sundays, though spaces near the memorial can fill up quickly.
For guaranteed parking, the following garages are located within a short walking distance of the memorial:
• Haymarket Center Garage: 136 Blackstone St. (This is generally the most convenient option for the area).
• Government Center Garage: 50 New Sudbury St. (Often offers a flat weekend rate).
• Dock Square Parking Garage: 20 Clinton St.
