About the Director:
Dani Menkin, the creator of the Oscar-nominated film 18 Kilograms of Love, Je T’aime I Love You Terminal, and The Dolphin,
brings to the screen Colleyville, a powerful documentary about the 2022 hostage crisis at the “Beth Israel”
synagogue in Colleyville, Texas.
The film documents step-by-step the dramatic events of that day, including the strange demands of the hostage-taker,
a British-Pakistani citizen, and how the situation ended after 11 nerve-wracking hours—thanks to the actions of the hostages and
security forces. Menkin incorporates rare footage and emotional personal testimonies that offer an unprecedented glimpse
into the event that shocked the world.
In the meeting, we will hear about the creative process, what led Menkin to choose this subject, and hold an open discussion
with the audience.
📢 A unique opportunity to ask questions and get a behind-the-scenes look at the film!
