An Evening of Memory, Film & Reflection
This year, the IAC invites you to commemorate October 7 in a meaningful and deeply personal way.
On Tuesday, October 6 at 7:30 PM, we will come together first to remember and honor those whose lives were lost and everyone whose life was forever changed by October 7.
We will light candles, stand for a minute of silence in memory of the fallen, and sing Hatikvah together — creating a moment to pause, reflect, and remember.
Following this special moment of remembrance, we will welcome Maaleh Film School of Jerusalem for an evening of powerful storytelling through film.
We will screen three short films, approximately 10–15 minutes each, offering different perspectives on the years following October 7: a narrative film, a documentary, and a film created through Maaleh’s video-therapy program for bereaved mothers.
The films offer another way to remember — to feel, reflect, honor, and connect through stories that touch the experiences of so many.
The evening will conclude with an open Q&A with representatives from Maaleh, exploring the stories behind the films, the creative process, and the power of cinema as a tool for healing, resilience, and memory.
