Women have made invaluable contributions to the field of science throughout history, yet their recognition and representation
have often been overshadowed by their male counterparts.
Despite facing numerous challenges and systemic barriers, women have persistently pursued their passion for scientific inquiry,
breaking ground in various disciplines and driving innovation forward.
From Marie Curie’s groundbreaking research in radioactivity to Rosalind Franklin’s pivotal role in uncovering
the structure of DNA, women scientists have left an indelible mark on the scientific landscape.
In our next lecture we will be exposed to future of scientific exploration and discuss the state-of-the-art breaking
new cancer treatments techniques and tissue transplantations.
The lecture will be presented by-
Dr. Einav Shoshan, earned her Bs.C in Biotechnology Engineering from Ben Gurion University, her Ms.C in Neuroscience
from the Weizmann institute and her Ph.D in Cancer Biology from University of Texas.
Einav’s research is focused mainly on Immunotherapy and combinations therapies in Metastatic Melanoma patients.
Einav is very active and volunteering in Israeli American Council in Houston and within the Israeli American community in Houston.
Dr. Irit Milman Krentsis, earned her Bs.C in Chemistry and Ms.C in genetics from the Hebrew university of science, and her Doctoral degree in Immunology from the Weizmann institute. Moved to Houston 5 years ago to focus in the Lung fibrosis area and establishing innovative ways for organ transplantations without any need of immunosuppression’s use, especially to treat COPD and IPF- that currently have no cure.
Irit also volunteering in Science Abroad Organization- managing the Israeli Scientist group in the Texas area and Board member.
