Join us for a creative adventure with Israeli artist Hanoch Piven and experience a hands-on workshop celebrating artistic reinvention
and self-expression. Following a brief presentation, Piven will guide families in creating portraits using everyday materials that
tell the story of their family.
Bring along your personal collection of discarded items—anything from broken toys and computer parts to buttons, old photos,
figurines, feathers, screws, nails, and more.
These overlooked treasures will serve as the building blocks of your artistic vision, reflecting your creativity and family stories.
Don’t miss this special opportunity to create lasting memories and extraordinary art with your loved ones!
Recommended ages: Open to all but best for ages 5 and up.
Hanoch Piven is an award-winning illustrator, educator and seasoned creative instigator.
Piven’s artwork is unique in both form and method. By reinventing the meaning and use of everyday objects,
he forges associations between these and the subject of his creation.
Since 1992, Piven’s work has been published in newspapers and magazines across the world, such as Time, Newsweek, Rolling Stone, London Times, Der Spiegel and Israel’s Haaretz. Piven is also the author of a series of award-winning children’s books and apps, TV shows, interactive exhibitions and advertising campaigns.
Right after the workshop we will continue with a Yummy Shabat Dinner followed by Shira Be’tzibur
