Join us at Rutgers New Brunswick as we walk along the main street of campus, honoring the 6 million Jewish lives lost in the Holocaust. This is also a moment to stand in solidarity with survivors, showing our strength and resilience, while calling for the immediate release of our hostages.
The 6 Million Steps is a unique international effort to preserve the memory of the Holocaust and bring attention to the alarming resurgence of antisemitism in the US and around the world.
Between April 20 to April 27, when Yom HaShoah – Israel’s Holocaust Remembrance Day, will take place, we call on people around the globe to record their steps as they walk or run. Last year, thousands of people, organizations, and schools from around the world took action and participated in this unique effort, drawing praise from the global community.
The 2025 #6MillionSteps campaign theme is NEVER AGAIN IS NOW, highlighting the sustained extreme levels of antisemitism since the Hamas attacks of October 2023. The continued discrimination against Jewish and Israeli Americans makes clear that educating younger generation on the lessons of the Holocaust must be a priority.
