Shalom! My name is Hirut. I was born in Ethiopia and grew up in Israel. In 2005, I graduated from Shenkar College of Engineering and Design with a B.A in Fashion Design. Immediately after my graduation, I moved to Istanbul and worked there as a fashion designer for various brands. While living in Istanbul, I had the chance to travel to many places around the world and meet interesting people.
In 2014, I moved to New York and decided to switch my career. I decided to pursue my passion of working with children and art. In the first couple of years, I taught art to kids from different backgrounds and exhibited my work in many places around the NYC. These days, I am teaching Hebrew in a diverse community in Harlem and I am enjoying every minute of it.
