
Leora Raikin

Leora Raikin is the Executive Director and Founder of the David Labkovski Project. As the artist’s great niece, she has the connection and understanding of Labkovski as a person and an artist. Leora has taken the responsibility of carrying on her Uncle’s work through the creation of the DLP. She works tirelessly using her Great Uncle’s artwork to engage, enrich, educate and empower audiences and students through lectures and workshops. Leora has been a keynote speaker at numerous schools, synagogues and organizations including Chapman University Rogers Center Holocaust Commemoration Program, the United States Military Academy at West Point, the Johannesburg Holocaust Museum and Genocide Center and the Holocaust Museum in Los Angeles. Leora has a Masters Degree from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. She and her husband have a son and a new puppy, Whisky.
