Hello, my name is Yris Bilia I was born in Israel, served as a Lieutenant/air-traffic controller in the IDF. I studies BA in Psychology and Philosophy in Haifa University and then moved to NY. I live in Manhattan with my husband and four children. My background is in advertising as a TV producer, some acting and currently teaching Hebrew in Elementary and Middle school. I am passionate about travel and have visited over 30 countries around the world, I love learning about nature, history and customs of places I explore and enjoy their adventurous side. I create exciting environment in my lessons where students can see themselves as global citizens and independent learners with an open mind to explore and understand the world around them.
שלום, שמי איריס ביליה נולדתי בישראל ושרתתי כקצינת בקרה אווירית בצה”ל. למדתי לתואר ראשון בפסיכולוגיה ופילוסופיה באוניברסיטת חיפה ומשם עברתי לניו יורק. אני מתגוררת במנהטן עם בן זוגי וארבעת ילדיי. עסקתי שנים בפרסום כמפיקת פרסומות, יש לי רקע במשחק ובשנים האחרונות אני מלמדת עברית לגילאי יסודי וחטיבת ביניים. יש לי תשוקה עזה לטיולים וביקרתי במעל ל-30 מדינות ברחבי העולם. אני אוהבת לחקור את המקום בו אני מבקרת, ללמוד על ההסטוריה, מנהגים ואוצרות הטבע ולהנות מהחוויות שיש למדינה להציע. השיעורים שלי הם חוויתיים ומסייעים לתלמידים לראות את עצמם כאזרחי העולם הגדול, עם יכולת ללמוד ולחקור באופן עצמאי, עם ראש פתוח להבין ולגלות את העולם סביבם.
